{"id":3006,"date":"2017-10-27T14:09:35","date_gmt":"2017-10-27T14:09:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clydesdalehockey.org.uk\/staging\/?p=3006"},"modified":"2017-11-02T15:38:23","modified_gmt":"2017-11-02T15:38:23","slug":"weekend-preview-28th-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clydesdalehockey.org.uk\/staging\/weekend-preview-28th-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend Preview &#8211; 28th October"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most of our teams are back in league action following the October holidays, which includes our 1st teams taking trips to Dundee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M1s vs. Grove Menzieshill 1s (4.15pm, A); M2s vs. Hillhead 2s (4.30pm, H); M3s vs. Ayr 1s (4.00pm, A); M4s vs. Helensburgh 3s (12.45pm, A)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>L1s vs. Grove Menzieshill 1s (2.30pm, A); L2s vs. Haddington 1s (3.00pm, H); L3s vs. Stirling University 1s (1.30pm, H); L4s vs. Glasgow University 2s (TBC, A); L5s vs. Dumfries 1s (TBC, A); L6s vs. Arran 1s (TBC, A)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both Clydesdale M1s and Clydesdale Western L1s play away to Grove Menzieshill&#8217;s Men&#8217;s and Women&#8217;s 1st XI at DISC in National League Division One action on Saturday.&nbsp; The L1s are up first, fresh from their vital and hopefully season changing win against Western Wildcats.&nbsp; The big games continue to come thick and fast as their opponents, Grove, are the only unbeaten side left in the Women&#8217;s National Division One this season.&nbsp; A win would not only continue &#8216;Dale Western&#8217;s rise up the league, but will also open the competition in Division One.&nbsp; 2.30pm pushback for the L1s, before the M1s take on Menzieshill M1s at 4.15pm.&nbsp; The M1s will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend&#8217;s narrow defeat to Western Wildcats, and a win here could see them leapfrog their Dundee opponents in the Men&#8217;s National Division One table.&nbsp; The last time the two met, the M1s won 4-3, with Danny Cain scoring a treble in a superb contest at Auchenhowie.<\/p>\n<p>In the rest of the day&#8217;s play, the M2s have a top of the table clash with an experienced Hillhead 2s side from 4.30pm at Titwood.&nbsp; A win coupled with other results elsewhere could see the M2s top of Regional Division One by the end of the day.&nbsp; The L2s play before at 3.00pm as they hope to continue their 100% league form with a win against Haddington 1s.&nbsp; The L3s are the first game of the day at home from 1.30pm with the visitors being Stirling University 1s.&nbsp; The M3s face a potentially tricky away fixture against Ayr 1s (4.00pm pushback) whilst the M4s play away to Helensburgh 3s at 12.45pm.&nbsp; The L4s, L5s and L6s are also away to Glasgow University 2s, Dumfries 2s and Arran 1s respectively (pushback times TBC).<\/p>\n<p>Best of luck to our teams this weekend, especially those making the long journeys!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Most of our teams are back in league action following the October holidays, which includes our 1st teams taking trips to Dundee.
