{"id":3893,"date":"2018-09-27T10:10:24","date_gmt":"2018-09-27T10:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clydesdalehockey.org.uk\/staging\/?p=3893"},"modified":"2018-10-12T13:03:24","modified_gmt":"2018-10-12T13:03:24","slug":"weekend-preview-29th-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clydesdalehockey.org.uk\/staging\/weekend-preview-29th-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend Preview &#8211; 29th September"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>This weekend sees the return of the Men&#8217;s teams and Clydesdale Western&#8217;s three West District teams also in action.&nbsp; The first three Ladies teams have the weekend off due to the Girls Inter-Districts taking place.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>M1s vs. Kelburne 1s (1.30pm, A)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ciaran Crawford will be marking his first game as Clydesdale Men&#8217;s 1st XI coach this Saturday when his side return to league action to take on Kelburne 1s at Glasgow Green from 1.30pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The M1s have already registered two draws from their opening two league games, but will be keen to pick up their first three points of the season.&nbsp; Kelburne lost their opening game of the season last weekend, losing out 2-1 to Western Wildcats at Auchenhowie.<\/p>\n<p>Games against Kelburne have always historically been difficult as shown by last season&#8217;s league results, with the Paisley side winning both games.&nbsp; The M1s, however, will be in positive mood after their last competitive encounter between the two sides saw Clydesdale succeed on penalty flicks in last season&#8217;s goalless Scottish Cup Quarter-Final tie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M2s vs. Hillhead 2s (5.00pm, H); M3s vs. Glasgow University 2s (2.00pm, H); M4s vs. GHK 2s (4.30pm, A); M5s vs. Helensburgh 3s (12.30pm, H); L4s vs. Rottenrow 1s (1.30pm, A); L5s vs. East Kilbride 1s (3.30pm, H); L6s vs. Arran 1s (11.30am, A)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a full card of games on at Titwood starting from 12.30pm when the M5s take on Helensburgh 3s in Men&#8217;s West District Division Three.&nbsp; The M3s play Glasgow University 2s from 2.00pm in Men&#8217;s West District Division One, before the L5s host East Kilbride 1s at 3.30pm in Women&#8217;s West District Division Two.&nbsp; The M2s complete the card of home games when Hillhead 2s come to visit for a 5.00pm PB in Men&#8217;s Regional Division One.&nbsp; The away games taking place on Saturday starts with the L6s playing away to Arran 1s from 11.30am in Women&#8217;s West District Division Three.&nbsp; The L4s go to Glasgow Green to play Rottenrow 1s from 1.30pm in Women&#8217;s West District Division One.&nbsp; The M4s are away at Old Anniesland against GHK 2s in Men&#8217;s West District Division Two action &#8211; 4.30pm PB.<\/p>\n<p>Photo credit: Rhona Weir<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This weekend sees the return of the Men&#8217;s teams and Clydesdale Western&#8217;s three West District teams also in action.&nbsp; The first three Ladies teams have the weekend off due to the Girls Inter-Districts taking place.
